Auto companies making electric vehicles may get to earn tradable credits
October 2, 2018
The government is planning to introduce a credit system based on carbon dioxide emission to incentivise automobile manufacturers make electric vehicles or low-emission vehicles, as it strives to move towards green mobility in a big way. The plan is to introduce tradable auto-emission coupons for automakers to encourage them to make electric vehicles. These coupons can be redeemed by manufacturers to avail incentives or subsidies.
